Public Hearing Notice  Becket - Bridge Replacement, B-03-045, Quarry Road Over Cushman Brook

A Live Virtual Design Public Hearing will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to present the 25% design of the bridge replacement on Quarry Road over Cushman Brook.

Purpose: 

The purpose of this hearing is to introduce the public to the proposed design for the Quarry Road bridge replacement over Cushman Brook.

All views and comments submitted in response to the hearing will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

Proposal: 

This project consists of replacing the existing Bridge (#B-03-045) which was built in 1939 on Quarry Road with a new bridge which includes both the superstructure and substructure. Widening the bridge and approach roadways in accordance with current standards and specifications are also included. Utility poles will be temporarily relocated away from the bridge during construction and back to their final alignment along the bridge similar to what exists currently. During construction, the bridge will be closed, and all traffic will be detoured, the closure is estimated to be 15 months.
