Public Hearing Notice  Beverly - Bridge Replacement, B-11-001, Bridge Street Over Bass River (Hall-Whitaker Drawbridge)

A Public Information Meeting will be hosted by MassDOT at the location below to present the design for the proposed BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, B-11-001, BRIDGE STREET OVER BASS RIVER (HALL-WHITAKER DRAWBRIDGE) project in Beverly, MA.

Purpose:

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, B-11-001, BRIDGE STREET OVER BASS RIVER (HALL-WHITAKER DRAWBRIDGE) project. All views and comments submitted in response to the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

Proposal:

MassDOT will provide an update to the recently closed Bridge Street Bridge (Hall-Whitaker). Alternatives for replacing the bridge will be presented and discussed. In addition updates to the replacement of the adjacent Kernwood Avenue Bridge (Beverly-Salem) will also be discussed.

A secure right-of-way is necessary for this project. Acquisitions in fee and permanent or temporary easements may be required. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is responsible for acquiring all needed rights in private or public lands. MassDOT’s policy concerning land acquisitions will be presented in the meeting.
