In accordance with the provisions of G.L. c. 30A § 20, the Board of Public Accountancy convened a regular monthly meeting on:

2. a. January 15, 2026, Public Meeting Minutes

               The Board reviewed the minutes. Richard Grueter made a motion, and it was      seconded by James Redmond, and the members present by majority VOTED: to accept the minutes as written.

b. January 15, 2026, Executive Session Minutes

               The Board reviewed the minutes. Angela Parziale made a motion, and it was      seconded by James Redmond, and the members present by majority VOTED: to accept the minutes as written.

               a. Executive Director Reported – Nothing to report

4. Board Counsel Report:

              a. Board Counsel Reported – Nothing to report

5. Discussion: 

                 a. Massachusetts Society of CPAs New England Merge

                 Molly Sullivan, Massachusetts Society of CPAs reported that the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants plans to finalize         their pending merge July 1, 2026, with the New England state CPA societies, resulting in a regional organization serving CPA professionals throughout New England.

                 b. Mass CPA Legislative Brief Update

                 Molly Sullivan, Massachusetts Society of CPAs reported that 26 states have enacted the additional licensure pathway. She noted that it is anticipated that similar legislation in Massachusetts will reach the Governor’s office this summer.

                 c. Education Inquiry from NASBA, Client Services Education & Research         Department.

               d. The Board reviewed the submitted documentation on Course: MBA 810 23753  business Analytics and Statistics and agreed it was acceptable course. Angela               Parziale made a motion, and it was seconded by James Redmond, and the members       present by majority VOTED:

At 10:34 A. M. James Redmond made a motion, and it was seconded by Richard Grueter, and the members voted unanimously:  to close the public session and enter executive session pursuant to G.L. c. 30A, § 21(a)(1).  Motion Passed – Roll Call:

At 11:12 A. M. James Redmond made a motion, seconded by Richard Grueter, and the members voted unanimously , to exit Executive Session and enter CLOSED Investigate Conference pursuant to G.L. c. 112, § 65C.  Motion Passed - Roll Call:

James Redmond made a motion, Angela Parziale seconded, and the members present voted unanimously, to exit Investigative Conference and enter open session, there upon adjourning the meeting at 12:17 P. M.
