Board of Public Accountancy

The Board of Public Accountancy makes sure accountants in Massachusetts follow state rules and provides guidance to licensees while protecting consumers.

Only Licensed Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) can issue financial reports for businesses and organizations. They also offer consulting, tax preparation, and other accounting services.

The Board’s mission is to guide licensees and consumers. It checks the education, experience, and character of CPA candidates before certifying them.
