- Kerry Dietz voiced some questions regarding the information recorded in the Investigative Conference and noted that the date identifying the next meeting needed to be updated. Board Council provided clarification that the Investigative Conference was outside of the open meeting requirements, but the Board still recorded basic actions in the minutes. Kerry Dietz made a motion, and it was seconded by Edward Ransom, and the members present by majority VOTED: to accept the minutes with corrections

- Executive Director Report – Executive Director reported a licensing update

- Discussed Special Meeting to be set 6/23/2026 at 9:00 AM to discuss limited topics
- Board Counsel Report – Board Counsel had nothing to report
- Discuss New Pathway for Licensure and accepted combination of Education and Experience
- The Board Chair and NCARB Representatives discussed the alternative pathways to licensure authorized by the recently updated regulations, including allowing for a combination of education and experience. NCARB has provided recommended guidance, including allowing licensure for individuals with additional experience through the AXP depending on what level of education they have. These include allowing licensure for an individual with a non-NAAB with a focus in architecture or with credits in architecture classes. Accredited bachelor’s degree if they have twice the amount of experience through the AXP; for an individual with an associates degree if they have three times the amount of experience through the AXP, and for an individual with only a high school diploma if they have four times the experience through the AXP
- Emily Grandstaff-Rice made a motion, and it was seconded by Edward Ransom, and the members present by majority Voted: to have the board staff draft an advisory or policy consistent with the Board’s discussion for review.

- After a short discussion about whether the documents provided by the applicant show the extent of the Applicant’s contribution to the development or teaching of the course sufficiently address Health, Safety, and Welfare topics, Emily Grandstaff-Rice Made a motion and it was seconded by Edward Ransom, and the members present by majority VOTED: Have the applicant provide additional information on how the content was taught or developed regarding HSW and obtain information regarding individual specific roles.
