In accordance with the provisions of G.L. c. 30A § 20, the Board of Registration of Architects convened a special meeting on:  June 23, 2026, via Microsoft Teams Meeting,

Informational note: All votes were taken by roll call. Where each member voted in favor, the vote will be reported as unanimous.

  1. Executive Director Report:
    1. Update given on eLIPSE Architect License Renewal Requirement 
      1. Explanation was given as to what is required to renew an Architect license as the licensing platform has transitioned to eLIPSE. This information can be obtained from the mass.gov website but includes submittal of completing 12 continuing education units from the year prior to renewing; completed certificates or AIA transcripts are accepted. A passport style photo and a notarized CORI form are also required. Guidance was provided on how to find this information through the mass.gov website under renewing your Architect license. Fees and eLIPSE platform information can be found there too.
      2. Discussion took place regarding setting up eLIPSE accounts and the importance of using the name on your license as your account name in order to link your license using the new licensing platform. Important to have other personal information correct as well.
  2. Discuss NCARB Annual Meeting June 25 – June 28, 2026, Minneapolis, MN
    1. Vote on Resolution 2026-1 Mutual Recognition Agreement with the United Kingdom
      1. Emily Grandstaff-Rice made a motion, and it was seconded by Kerry Dietz, and the members present by majority Voted: to vote in favor of this resolution for Massachusetts.
