Public Meeting Notice  CANCELED: Milton - Intersection improvements at Randolph Avenue (Route 28) and Chickatawbut Road

UPDATE: Please be advised that the Public Information Meeting for Project 607342 Milton – Intersection Improvements at Randolph Avenue (Route 28) and Chickatawbut Road on November 14th, 2024 from 6:30-7:30pm is cancelled. MassDOT will need additional time to evaluate suggestions brought forward by key stakeholders. This Public Information Meeting will be rescheduled at a later date that has not been determined at this time.
 

A Virtual Public Informational Meeting will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to present design updates and Route 28 Corridor Study results for the proposed Intersection Improvements at Randolph Avenue (Route 28) and Chickatawbut Road project in Milton, MA.

Purpose: 

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Intersection Improvements at Randolph Avenue (Route 28) and Chickatawbut Road project. All views and comments submitted in response to the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

Proposal: 

The proposed project consists of redesigning the Route 28 at Chickatawbut Road intersection to improve safety for all roadway users. MassDOT’s proposed redesign will replace the current intersection with a roundabout. During the public meeting, MassDOT will review the proposed redesign, construction activities and schedule, traffic safety, improvements to bicycle and pedestrian connectivity, impacts to the community, and changes to the design between the design public hearing and the 100% design submission. MassDOT will also summarize and explain the results of the Route 28 Corridor Study.

All comments submitted in response to this event will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
