Public Meeting Notice  Deerfield – Intersection improvements on Greenfield Road (Routes 5/10) at Mill Village Road and North Main Street

A Virtual Public Informational Meeting will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to present the design for the proposed project in Deerfield, MA.

Purpose:

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed project. All views and comments submitted in response to the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

Proposal:

The proposed intersection safety improvement project consists of the reconstruction of the intersection of Routes 5/10, Mill Village Road, and North Main Street. This project will improve the approaching roadway geometry and sight distance with a proposed roundabout. The roadways would include box widening and resurfacing or reconstruction, including curbing, bicycle and pedestrian accommodations, new line striping, and signage throughout. Shared use accommodations consisting of an 8’ shared use path around the roundabout with shared lane markings have been provided in accordance with applicable design guides.
