Public Meeting Notice Draw 7 Park Renovation Design Review Public Meeting 11/16/2023
Overview of Draw 7 Park Renovation Design Review Public Meeting 11/16/2023
At this virtual public meeting, the project team will present the design for Draw Seven Park, and review the permitting process current in progress, as well as the anticipated construction schedule and impacts. This project has been in progress for several years, and embodies the major, publicly supported goals of: Pathway connectivity, recreation, ecological/habitat restoration, climate resiliency/flood protection, and upgrades to the Ameila Earhart Dam utilities. The pathways in Draw Seven Park will continue to connect to the Mystic River Reservation, the newly completed path extension to Alford Street, Charlestown, and the future Mystic River pedestrian bridge to Everett. The park shoreline will be restored for stability, habitat value, and flood protection; there will be many pathways, seating and overlook areas, a renovated fishing pier, shade, and well over a hundred new trees.
The public will be invited to ask questions and provide feedback on the presentation, using the Q&A functionality that will be available through the virtual participation platform. After the meeting, the presentation will be available for viewing at https://www.mass.gov/dcr/past-public-meetings. DCR encourages the public to share additional feedback, with a deadline for receipt of comments by DCR of November 22nd, 2023. Comments may be submitted online at Mass.Gov - MEPA Public Comments (state.ma.us). Please note that the content of comments you submit to DCR, along with your name, town, and zip code, will be posted on DCR's website. Additional contact information required when commenting, notably email address, will only be used for outreach on future updates on the subject project or property.
