Public Meeting Notice Haverhill - Basiliere Bridge replacement
Overview
An In-Person Public Information Meeting will be hosted by MassDOT to present the current status of the Private First Class Ralph T. Basiliere Bridge replacement , H-12-007 & H-12-025, Bridge Street (SR 125) over the Merrimack River and the Bradford Rail Trail, in Haverhill, MA.
Purpose:
The purpose of this public information meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the construction phase of the Private First Class Ralph T. Basiliere Bridge replacement project. All views and comments submitted in response to the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
Proposal:
The project consists of a full replacement of the existing Private First Class Ralph T. Basiliere Bridge over the Merrimack River and Bradford Rail Trail. Work will begin later this spring and last approximately six years. During construction, a single northbound (towards Haverhill) and a single southbound (towards Bradford) lane will generally be maintained on the Basiliere Bridge as well as one sidewalk. Night and weekend shutdowns of the bridge will be required at times to ensure public safety. MassDOT will use the meeting to inform the public about construction timing and phasing, the finalization of the replacement bridge’s appearance, and measures being taken to help the project be a good neighbor.

Statements and exhibits intended for inclusion in the meeting transcript must be emailed or postmarked no later than ten (10) business days after the meeting is hosted.This meeting is accessible to people with disabilities.
