About the Trainings
The training modules combine trainer-facilitated Zoom sessions with job-embedded practice, giving participants opportunities to apply what they learn directly in their educational settings. The following options will be offered this fall:
- Professionalism in Early Childhood Settings: You will discuss what it means to be a Professional in both center-based and family child care settings. You will also learn about developmentally appropriate practices and how to use these practices to support children's growth and positive development.
- Family Engagement in Early Childhood Settings: You will explore best practices for family engagement and learn practical strategies that can be used effectively in both center-based and family child care settings. You will also explore strategies to help every family feel welcomed, valued, and actively involved in their child's learning experience.
- Environments in Early Childhood Settings: You will learn to identify the components of quality early learning environments for different age groups. You will also explore how thoughtfully designed environments and intentional teaching practices support children's learning, growth, and positive development.
