Information Session: Design Team for the Family Advisory Council

The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) is hosting upcoming Information Sessions to share how people can get involved in the development of our new Family Advisory Council (FAC) as a Design Team member.  Over the past year, EEC has been evaluating how we engage with families to better understand what’s working well—and where we can grow. As part of this work, we are establishing a Family Advisory Council to strengthen family involvement and ensure that parent and caregiver voices are central to our mission, vision, and strategies.

The Family Advisory Council will help guide EEC’s work with families across Massachusetts and support partnerships that honor the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the communities we serve. To support this effort, we are forming a Design Team made up of parents, caregivers, and key community partners who will help shape how the FAC is built and how it operates.  For general members we are looking for agency staff who work in enrollment, social work, or family engagement.
