Live Training: Advanced ARIA Techniques for Developers

Overview

Are you a developer or tester that works with HTML web pages or applications? The advanced ARIA training features the most used ARIA tags, roles, and attributes using HTML, CSS, and Vanilla JavaScript code snippets and full examples.

Attendees will experience a live demo reviewing several ARIA usage examples and their HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.

In this session you'll learn how to:

  • External link identification techniques
  • When to use visually hidden text: Practical examples

  • Expand/collapse implementation examples
  • Dialog modals: Implementation and best practices
  • ARIA for status messages and live regions
  • Form-specific ARIA attributes
  • Using aria-pressed: Practical examples
  • Additional custom components using ARIA

Note: To register, you will need a free, basic Zoom account associated with your State, Municipality or School email address. If you do not already have one, sign up for a free Zoom account.
