Overview   of Lowell, Dracut, Methuen Resurfacing and Related Work on Route 110

A Live Virtual Design Public Hearing will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to present the design for the proposed Lowell- Dracut- Methuen- Resurfacing and Related Work on Route 110 project in Lowell, Dracut and Methuen, MA.

Purpose:

The purpose of this hearing is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Lowell – Dracut – Methuen – Resurfacing and Related Work on Route 110 project. All comments submitted in response to the hearing will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

Proposal:

The proposed project consists of improving 6.3 miles along Route 110 corridor in Lowell, Dracut, and Methuen by adding compliant bicycle and pedestrian accommodations along with pavement resurfacing operations. This project will include sidewalk and pedestrian curb ramp reconstruction along most of the north side of the roadway. Shared use accommodations consisting of a wide 10-foot shared use path for the full south side length of the corridor that is buffered by guardrail or flex posts have been provided in accordance with applicable design guides.

This project intends to stay in the State Highway Layouts. Acquisitions in fee and permanent or temporary easements may not be required.

This hearing is accessible to people with disabilities.
