Public Meeting Notice  Maffa Way/Mystic Avenue bridge replacements meeting - 2/24/25

Join us on Monday, February 24 at 6:00 PM in Charlestown and Wednesday, February 26 at 6:00 PM in Somerville for two in-person Public Information Meetings. At these meetings, the project team will provide an overview of upcoming revisions to traffic alignments, bike paths and bus lanes at Lombardi Street, as well as an update on plans for Phase 2 construction and the Orange Line shutdown in May 2025. The meetings will feature a presentation after which attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide comments. Identical information will be presented at each meeting.

About the Project

The Maffa Way/Mystic Avenue Bridge Superstructure Replacements Project will replace two deteriorated bridge superstructures that carry vehicles and pedestrians over the MBTA’s Orange Line and Commuter Rail in Boston and Somerville. This construction project will also improve public safety and the reliability of critical infrastructure in a high-traffic corridor.
