Public Meeting Notice Northeast Regional Listening Session
Overview
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health & Human Services (EOHHS), Attorney General’s Office (AGO), and Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) invite you to listen and provide feedback on the Commonwealth’s uses of state opioid settlement funds.
The settlement funds are the result of litigation brought against companies from the opioid industry that contributed to the worst drug epidemic in U.S. history and are estimated to bring over $1 billon into Massachusetts through the year 2038.
The event will feature an overview of Massachusetts’ opioid settlements, a panel discussion with local providers and those impacted by the opioid epidemic, followed by an open session for community members to comment on the state’s uses of opioid settlement funds."
