Public Hearing Notice  Public Hearing on 501 CMR 17.00 (Medical Parole)

In accordance with MGL c. 30A sections 2 and 3, the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (“EOPSS”) will hold a virtual public hearing on regulations pertaining to medical parole under 501 CMR 17.00. The proposed regulations may be viewed here. 

The hearing will be held on Sept. 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and may be joined via Webex at https://statema.webex.com/statema/j.php?MTID=m9e03ac5ee7f8cb72c835b04400468822 using meeting number (access code) 171 802 1183 and meeting password (case sensitive) ZRgP3gcpr35.  The hearing may also be joined toll free via telephone at 1-866-692-3580 using meeting number (access code) 171 802 1183. 

Speakers are requested to provide a written copy of their planned testimony. EOPSS encourages all interested parties to submit written comments electronically to john.melander@mass.gov. Please submit electronic written testimony as an attached Word document or as text within the body of an email and type the name of the regulation in the subject line. All submissions must include the sender's full name and address. EOPSS will post all electronic testimony that complies with these instructions on its website.

Parties who are unable to submit electronic written testimony should mail submissions to the Deputy General Counsel, Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, One Ashburton Place, Boston MA 02108. All written or oral comments submitted to EOPSS may be posted on EOPSS’s website and released in response to a request for public records. All written testimony and comments should be submitted by Sept. 16, 2020.
