- Discussion of a circle process
- Welcome and introduction of everyone present
- Review and Approval of Meeting Minutes from April 27, 2021
- Discussion: action items to bring back to RJAC as recommendations, including items raised at 4/27/21 meeting
- Education about RJ should be a priority of the RJAC
- Essential to include more people and more diverse voices in discussion about what the education should include and who the audiences are
- Participants in the meeting committed to inviting more people to the next subcommittee meeting (5/25) specifically returning citizens and respondents to the RJAC survey
- The subcommittee wants short-term next steps to be guided by a long-term vision
- Long-term visions for RJ include support for RJ in communities, schools, prisons, support at reentry
- Long-term vision legislative changes include revisiting provisions concerning confidentiality, mandated reporting, and how can be a voting member of the RJAC
- Topics to address at next meeting
