Second Annual Crossing Guard Appreciation

Crossing Guard of the year nominations are due by March 23, 2022

Crossing guards play an important role supporting our families’ safety as they access schools and neighborhoods across the Commonwealth. Our Second Annual Crossing Guard Appreciation campaign begins with a crossing guard of the year nomination process, followed by Crossing Guard Appreciation Day, and culminates with announcing the Crossing Guard(s) of the Year award winners in April. The overall goal is to draw attention to and honor the hard work of crossing guards across Massachusetts and to recognize those crossing guards who go beyond.

• February 28, 2022: Nominations open* 
• February 28 - March 23, 2022: Celebrate your Crossing Guard(s) all throughout the month of March by downloading our thank you cards and flyers, and by posting on social media*
• March 23, 2022: Crossing Guard Appreciation Day and the deadline to submit nominations for Crossing Guard of the Year
• April 2022: We will announce the winner of the Second Annual Crossing Guard of the Year Award (they will also be honored in June at our annual Awards Ceremony)
