Overview   of SNAP Outreach Partner Reimbursement Project Information Session (at Haverhill Public Library)

The SNAP Outreach Partner Reimbursement Project is a collaboration between the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) and the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMass), the goals of which are to increase access to SNAP benefits and improve nutrition and economic self-sufficiency for eligible individuals and families.

Through this project, your organization may qualify for federal reimbursement when you provide approved Outreach services to SNAP clients.

To learn more, UMass and DTA invite you to attend an information session. The session is designed to walk you through the federal rules, funding requirements, allowable activities, and the enrollment process.

Who should attend?
Community based organizations, community colleges, senior centers and other organizations that assist low income individuals and families with SNAP application and recertification activity including:

  • raising awareness about SNAP benefits;
  • assisting clients with the process of applying for and maintaining SNAP benefits; and
  • translating SNAP materials for clients with limited English proficiency.
