Public Meeting Notice Southeast Regional Listening Session
Overview
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health & Human Services (EOHHS), Attorney General’s Office (AGO), and Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) invite you to provide feedback on the Commonwealth’s uses of state opioid settlement funds.
RSVP here to attend in person or here to attend virtually. If you are not able to attend in person but would like to submit written testimony, please click here.
The settlement funds are the result of litigation brought against companies from the opioid industry that contributed to the worst drug epidemic in U.S. history and are estimated to bring over $1 billon into Massachusetts through the year 2038.
The event will feature an open session for community members to comment on the state’s uses of opioid settlement funds. There will also be an optional overview of Massachusetts’ opioid settlements and a presentation on a community initiative that spotlights how settlement funds are being used at the local level.
