Saturday Hiking Series

Get to know beautiful shoreline views of the Wachusett Reservoir with this hiking series in each of the four towns of the reservoir. The winter landscape reveals features hidden the rest of the year. Hikes are moderate, with some hills to rewarding views from a new perspective each week. 

Sterling Rail Trail and Pond Loop

Meet at Mass Central Rail Trail - Sterling Spur, 25 Gates Road, Sterling. About 3.8 miles round trip. 

Take in the water's edge, fine tune your senses and connect to the magic of spring! 

Dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes and bring water/snacks.  Bring trekking poles, traction devices, or snowshoes
depending on trail conditions, and your sense of adventure!

Dogs are not allowed on water supply protection lands.
