Overview of Sturbridge - proposed bridge replacement on Champeaux Road over Long Pond
A Live Virtual Design Public Hearing Meeting will be hosted on the MassDOT website below to present the design for the proposed Bridge Replacement on Champeaux Road over Long Pond project in Sturbridge, MA.
The purpose of this hearing is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed Bridge Replacement on Champeaux Road over Long Pond project. All views and comments submitted in response to the hearing will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.
The proposed project consists of the complete replacement of the existing three (3) span bridge with a partially precast structure. The new structure will provide two (2), 11'-0" travel lanes and provide new steel bridge rail and guardrail.
A secure right-of-way is necessary for this project. Acquisitions in fee and permanent or temporary easements may be required. The town is responsible for acquiring all needed rights in private or public lands. MassDOT policy concerning land acquisitions will be presented in the hearing.
