Overview of Wachusett Watershed Guided Hike: Gate 39 (North Dike)
Meet at Wachusett Reservoir Gate 39 North Dike, Rt 110 Clinton. Parking at the intersection of South Meadow Road and Route 110. About 3 miles round trip to the Wachusett dam and back.
Take in views of the Wachusett Reservoir and hike along the North Dike earthen dam to the Wachusett Reservoir masonry dam. About 3 miles round trip. Dress for the weather and be prepared for windy conditions on the North Dike. Wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring trekking poles, ice cleats, or snowshoes depending on trail condition. Hike may be canceled or modified for weather and trail conditions.
Dogs are not allowed on water supply protection lands.
