Overview of Walden Pond State Park Bathhouse and Accessibility Improvements 11/19/2019
At this public meeting, DCR will present an update, and obtain public comment on, plans for universal accessibility improvements at Walden Pond State Reservation. The projects to be discussed include improving access to the Thoreau House Site in accordance with the U.S. Forest Service Trail Accessibility Guidelines; replacement and relocation of the Walden Pond bathhouse; and construction of an accessible boardwalk to connect the Route 126 crosswalk to the new bathhouse and the main beach.

The public will be invited to submit comments after the meeting, with a deadline for receipt by DCR of Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Comments may be submitted online at
