Infestation to Restoration: Managing for Invasive Species

Explore the surprising world of invasive species with a guided tour of Herman Covey Wildlife Management Area. Learn how to identify the spotted lanternfly, tree of heaven, and other invasives while discovering the impacts they have on local ecosystems. Along the way, you'll learn how MassWildlife uses habitat restoration to manage invasive species and restore native habitats.

Participants should be prepared for a ~1.5 mile walk and dress for the weather and walking on uneven ground.

Space is limited, and registration is required. (Note: Adults 18+ must register individually.) You’ll receive an email with additional information including directions and parking a week before the event. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy, closed toe shoes for walking on uneven ground. Bring binoculars, water, and insect repellent.
