What you need for Apply for a Massachusetts Dredging Grant

The Massachusetts Dredging Program is open to the Commonwealth’s 78 coastal municipalities as defined by the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM). Grant rounds typically open in the winter or spring.

Applicants are required to submit the following:

  • A completed application.
  • Copies of all local, state, and federal permits and permit modifications approved to date for the proposed dredging project.

Given the competitive nature of the Massachusetts Dredging Program, applicants are asked to consider applying only for projects that are shovel ready or will be shovel ready by July 1.
