What you need for Apply for a State Library Card or Renew an Existing Card

To qualify for a State Library of Massachusetts library card, you must be a current, permanent employee of Executive, Legislative, or Judicial branches of government in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and have a valid Commonwealth of Massachusetts identification card.

State House interns are eligible for courtesy Internet-only library cards that do not allow State Library borrowing privileges.
