The Details of Apply for an Architect License
What you need for Apply for an Architect License
This process is for your very first Architect license in any jurisdiction.
Please submit the following with your Architect License applications:
- Photo ID: 2x2 passport photo.
- Notarized CORI Form.
- NCARB File: Go to www.ncarb.org and request transmittal of your NCARB file.
- Pay fees: See below.
Applicants are advised that they should retain original copies of all supporting documents and that they may be required to submit original copies to the Board at a later date, if requested.
Fees for Apply for an Architect License
All fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Total fees: $260. See breakdown below, you will be required to make separate payments for each fee. For licensure fee, you will be invoiced after Board review.

How to apply Apply for an Architect License
Please note that submitting your application online through the ePlace portal is now the ONLY method for applying to be a licensed Architect. We will no longer accept paper applications through the mail.
