What you need

Find an approved training program that meets your needs:

You must be able to complete the training program within 2 years. If you take basic skills courses before your advanced training, you must complete the training program within 3 years.  

Have this information ready for your application: 

  • The type of training you selected
  • The name of the school(s) offering the training
  • Program start and end dates
  • Tuition costs 

How to apply

  1. Download a TOP application
  2. Complete Parts A and B
  3. Your training program needs to complete Part C or D (depending on the type of training)
  4. Upload the completed application in your Unemployment Services for Workers account

TOP can also mail a paper copy of the application to you. Call (617) 626-5521 to request one.

Next steps

  • If you submit an incomplete application, TOP will send it back to you for more information
  • If you don’t get any updates after four weeks, call TOP at (617) 626-5521
