What you need
Find an approved training program that meets your needs:
- Visit a MassHire Career Center
- Search for a training through MassHire JobQuest
You must be able to complete the training program within 2 years. If you take basic skills courses before your advanced training, you must complete the training program within 3 years.
Have this information ready for your application:
- The type of training you selected
- The name of the school(s) offering the training
- Program start and end dates
- Tuition costs
How to apply
- Download a TOP application
- Complete Parts A and B
- Your training program needs to complete Part C or D (depending on the type of training)
- Upload the completed application in your Unemployment Services for Workers account
- Download a TOP application
- Complete Parts A and B
- Your training program needs to complete Part C or D (depending on the type of training)
- Mail the completed application to:

TOP can also mail a paper copy of the application to you. Call (617) 626-5521 to request one.
