The Details

What you need

You need the following information to create your MassTaxConnect account:

  • Your Social Security number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), and;
  • One of the following:
    • Tax amount due from one of your last 3 returns
    • Refund amount from one of your last 3 returns
    • ID from the "Welcome to MassTaxConnect" letter.

How to apply

To create your MassTaxConnect account, follow these steps:

  1. Go to MassTaxConnect.
  2. Click "Create my username."
  3. Select “I am an individual who has previously filed taxes in the state of Massachusetts,”click Next, and then:
  4. Follow prompts, entering the appropriate information.
