The Details

Overview

A Distribution List(s) (DL) is a feature of the MassMail Global address list (GAL) which allows users to maintain a list of eMail addresses.  DLs are generally used to send communications to a dedicated group of Commonwealth O365 recipients, with a maximum of 500 recipients.

Use this request to create a new DL, or to manage or delete an existing DL that you already own.  Requesters should appoint at least two (2) "owners" of the DL, who will then manage the members in the list.

If you want to be added to an existing DL, please reach out to the owner of that DL or your internal IT help desk.

Once the team reviews your request, they will determine whether the DL should be dynamic or static.  If for some reason the DL you are requesting should not be dynamic (update automatically) and should only be modified manually, please be sure to note this in the “Additional Details” field.

If you want to send email to a large amount of external recipients OR a combination of both internal and external recipients, please use the List Server Catalog item.
