Find required training for licensure and professional development

All early education and care providers and educators need to take:

• First Aid and CPR
• EEC Essentials training:
  • Nutrition and choking prevention training for child care
  • Training on safe sleep practices for infants 
  • Transportation safety training for child care
  • Medication administration training and information for child care 
• Training on reporting suspected child abuse or neglect for mandated reporters *

*A mandated reporter who is professionally licensed by the Commonwealth must complete training to recognize and report suspected child abuse or neglect.  See M.G.L. Ch.119, Sec. 51A (k).
