Provide support to individuals who are training to become a home care aid

There are a variety of different types of organizations that work with individuals who may be interested in becoming home care aides.

  • Community colleges
  • MassHire Career Centers
  • Adult learning and Vocational Programs
  • Religious organizations

If you are supporting individuals who may be interested in becoming a home care aide consider providing the following resources.

  • Inform them of the career opportunities available in-home care.
  • Provide information about training and job requirements
  • Help individuals access the online Personal and Home Care Aide State Training
  • Provide them with computers to complete the online training
  • Create a cohort of others taking the training so that they can study together
  • Consider bringing in agencies that provide home care to educate learners about the career and potential job opportunities.
