How to become a Veteran Ready Business (VRB)

To become a Massachusetts Veteran Ready Business, follow the steps below:

1. Complete the following Veteran Employer Training steps:
   1. Submit a ‘Certificate of Good Standing’ from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Revenue.
   2. Sign the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Pledge (ESGR Pledge). This document signifies an employer’s understanding of the commitments and responsibilities they have to employees who are members of Guard and Reserve Components.
      1. To obtain your ESGR pledge, contact:

2. Submit documentation proving you took your Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Pledge and verified your Certification of Good Standing.
3. Commit to attending at least one veteran hiring event in the Commonwealth every year and inform EOVS for verification purposes. 

After our team reviews your documentation, you will receive a copy of the Massachusetts Veteran Ready Business logo to display on your website and documents to provide to servicemembers, veterans, or veteran-affiliated employees.
