What is the XR Community of Practice?
The Experience Research Community of Practice includes professional experience researchers and people who need to do research activities who want to learn, share their work, and connect with other state employees doing human-centered research.
- Learn about core experience research concepts that fuel constituent-centered design
- Gain awareness of experience research activity taking place across state organizations
- Get and lend support to colleagues who need to learn about their constituents or evaluate the experience of their products and services
- Get help navigating experience research policies, procedures, and tools
How to participate
This community of practice usually meets the second Thursday of each month.
The meeting structure depends on the activity/activities on the agenda for a given week.
For example:
- Workshop meetings usually consist of a short group activity followed by a debrief about what we learned
- Guest speaker meetings usually focus on a demo of the research or project the guest is working on
In general, meetings are interactive and encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration. People who attend meetings should come ready to participate.
Who can join?
We welcome anyone who wants to or needs to understand the experiences that they are providing to people.
Attendees might include experience researchers, content strategists, experience designers, service design, product managers, program managers, and experience owners.
