The Details

What is an XDR consult?

There are 2 kinds of consults available: 

  • Content strategy consults
  • Experience research (XR) consults

Each consult is a 30-minute session where you can get help with content strategy and management issues, or experience research questions. These sessions are offered on Thursday afternoons or Friday mornings.

Content strategy consults

You can get help with many topics including:

  • Developing strategies to manage, review, and improve content
  • Reviewing new content before you launch it  
  • Refreshing some specific content and removing “ROT” (redundant, outdated, trivial content)   
  • Addressing content that has poor analytics/feedback  
  • Reviewing accessibility of some content  
  • Doing a plain language review  
  • Improving information architecture and findability

Experience research consults

Experience research consults can help you plan research studies at all stages, including: 

  • Planning a research study
  • Choosing the right research approach
  • Recruiting research participants
  • Testing a product, service, or concept
  • Better understanding users and their needs
  • Identifying appropriate participant incentives
  • Making sense of research findings
