Who Had to Report & Exemptions
Overview
The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) adopted a new regulation, 310 CMR 7.41: Large Entity Reporting Requirement, which required a one-time report from large entities that operate or dispatch vehicles in Massachusetts with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) greater than 8,500 pounds. The reported information will allow MassDEP to assess the best way to develop charging infrastructure and programs to support and accelerate the medium-and heavy-duty zero emission vehicle market in Massachusetts.
The regulation became effective on September 1, 2023, and the report was due at 5 PM on March 1, 2024.
