Primary user account
The primary user is the person in your organization who is responsible for managing access to your organization’s data on the POSC. You can set up a primary user account to:
- Serve as the administrator of the account
- Provide access to more users by setting up subordinate IDs
- Link subordinate users in the POSC so they can view and submit transactions
Providers should audit their primary user assignment(s) to be certain they are up-to-date. Providers cannot continue using the primary user ID of anyone who is no longer employed or no longer represents your organization.
If a primary user has left that role, the provider must assign a new primary user and remove the previous user's access. The organization must then submit an Existing Provider Modification Data Collection Form (POSC-DC-PM) PDF | Word to let us know that the facility is changing its primary user.
Subordinate Access
- You must maintain subordinate access
- There is no limit to the number of subordinates assigned to an account
- Providers should audit their subordinate(s) to be certain they are up-to-date
