What you need   for Reinstate your real estate appraiser license

Pursuant to the Appraiser Qualifications Board (AQB) and Board regulations, prior to reinstatement, a Licensee in an expired status must demonstrate that he/she completed all required continuing education hours that would have been required if the Licensee was in an active status, 28 hours per cycle, including demonstrating compliance with the continuing education requirement immediately prior to the expiration date. See Example below. The required hours for reinstatement must also include the most recent edition of a 7-hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Update Course. To obtain a Reinstatement Payment Form, you must remit all certificates of completion completed per the above requirements with this form for the Board to mail you a reinstatement payment form.

Example: 

If a license expired in March of 2016, they would need to provide credits for the following timeframe:

2014-2016 – last current

2016-2018

2018-2020

2020-2022

2022-2024 – current cycle

For the 5 missed cycles they will need to present 140 CE credits/hours (28*5)

Fees   for Reinstate your real estate appraiser license

All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Reinstatement fee is the renewal fee plus late fee.

Completed forms must be EMAILED to: dpl-appraiser-board@mass.gov. Mailed applications will not be accepted.
