What you need

All APRNs must maintain current certification through a Board approved national certifying organization in order to maintain current Board authorization to practice. The Board does not issue certifications.

If your certification lapses for any reason, you are no longer authorized to practice as an APRN.

How to request

Expired certification

Complete a request to remove APRN authorization if your certification lapses for any reason.

Re-issued certification

Complete a request to reinstate APRN authorization if your certification is re-issued.

It is your responsibility to manage certification renewal requirements in a timely manner. If you allow your certification to expire, you must cease practice as an APRN until you provide current certification information to the Board.
