Submit an entry for the Name a Snowplow Contest

Entrants must be Massachusetts residents in grades Kindergarten through 8th, inclusive, with permission from a parent or guardian. Classroom entries are preferred unless a student is homeschooled.

Selection committee members will not include any MassDOT employees who have a family member in an entrant's classroom, as a teacher or student.

Only one entry per classroom or student will be accepted. MassDOT will only consider the first name entered on an entrant’s first submission. Duplicate entries will be excluded.

• Other than as specified herein, entrants will not be entitled to any compensation, monetary or otherwise, for participating in this contest.
• No purchase is necessary to participate in this contest.
• MassDOT may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
• Entrants grant MassDOT a perpetual license to use the name submitted for any reason without requiring permission of the entrant and without compensation to the entrant.
• Entries that include political speech, profanity, or inappropriate language will not be considered.
• Entries that include any language that is copyrighted or trademarked will not be considered.
• MassDOT reserves the right to reject any submission for any reason.
• Information collected from entrants is subject to the Mass.gov Privacy Policy.
• MassDOT is not responsible for electronic transmission errors or traffic congestion on the internet.
• Entrants agree to release, defend, indemnify, and hold MassDOT harmless with respect to any and all claims arising from entrant's submission.
• MassDOT's decisions are final in all matters relating to this contest.
