Hyde Park River Street Bridge replacement project

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is replacing the River Street Bridge over the Amtrak/MBTA Railroad in the City of Boston.

The River Street Bridge goes over the Amtrak and MBTA lines in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston. Built in 1883, repairs have been made to the bridge many times in the last 100 years.

In February 2023, MassDOT determined repairs to the bridge would be completed to allow the bridge to reopened while the replacement bridge is being designed.
