Hyde Park River Street Bridge replacement project

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) repaired the River Street Bridge over the Amtrak/MBTA Railroad in the City of Boston.

The River Street Bridge goes over the Amtrak and MBTA lines in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston. Built in 1883, the bridge has been repaired many times in the last 100 years. MassDOT completed the most recent of these repairs just before the 2025 New Year. The bridge is now open to traffic but continues to have a posted weight restriction for trucks.
