Master Juror List Information for City & Town Clerks

Learn about city and town requirements and legal obligations for submitting information for use in creating the Master Juror Lists.

By law, the 351 cities and towns of Massachusetts must submit a list of all residents 17 and older to the Office of Jury Commissioner (OJC) every year. The lists submitted are used to create Master Juror Lists. Massachusetts is the only state in the country to have a mandatory annual municipal census, and as a result, is widely believed to have the best, most complete, and most representative Master Juror List in the nation. Learn about the legal obligations for city and town clerks to submit lists to help create Master Juror Lists for each judicial district in the state.
