2024 EEC CCR&R Region Changes

The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) is working to simplify Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (CCR&R) regions to streamline the process for families and providers and align with regions used for child care licensing.

EEC is working to simplify CCR&R regions to streamline the process for families and providers and align with regions used for child care licensing.

CCR&R agencies support local communities by assisting families in finding child care that meets their needs, as well as helping eligible families obtain child care financial assistance.

Region Changes

As of September 1, 2023, several cities and towns will change to a new region.

Also, several regions will be collapsing into new ones:

  • The Southeast region and South Shore and Cape and Islands will be one region under Southeast Child Care and Referral Network.
  • Boston and Metro Boston will be one region under Metro Boston Child Care and Referral Network
