This project will return the bridge structure to its original condition through repairs to the concrete superstructure and substructure, as well as upgrades to the bridge railing system. This preservation work will extend the life of the bridge. The project also includes sidewalk and road replacement in the bridge area, which will improve pedestrian accommodations and conditions.

Crews will work on an accelerated schedule to minimize impacts to abutters and those traveling through the area. The project began in April 2025 and is anticipated to be complete in early October 2025. The roadways and sidewalks on Richmond Street are anticipated to fully reopen for Full Beneficial Use the evening of August 26, 2025.
