Meet the Team
Tom LaRose, Director
Tom LaRose graduated from Clark University in 2017 with a B.A. in History. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and was commissioned through Officer's Candidate School in Fort Moore, GA. While in the Army (2017-21), Tom served as a tank platoon leader and company executive officer for 1-5 CAV based out of Fort Cavazos, TX and completed a rotation overseas to Romania. After the army, Tom attended Northeastern University, graduating in 2023 with an M.A. in History. Before joining EOVS, he worked as the Development Coordinator at the USS Constitution Museum, overseeing military functions and logistics.
Nathaniel Sargent, Program Coordinator
Nate Sargent enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1996 as a Yeoman before earning his commission through Officer Candidate School in 2004. Over a distinguished military career spanning 29+ years, he specialized in operations ashore and training assignments. He rose through key leadership roles—including Enforcement Chief, Command Center Chief, and Response Department Head—at both Sector New York and Sector Boston. His specialized assignments included serving as Deputy School Chief at the Contingency Planning & Response Management School, Operations Officer for the Maritime Force Protection Unit protecting U.S. Navy Pacific Fleet ballistic missile submarines, and Detachment Commander for the Maritime Infrastructure Protection Force Training & Advisory Group in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Before joining EOVS, he led the Navy Junior ROTC program for the Manchester School District as Senior Naval Science Instructor. He holds a bachelor’s degree (1999) and an MBA (2024) from Norwich University.
