American Red Cross of Massachusetts

Information on the services provided & how to volunteer with the Massachusetts chapter of the American Red Cross.

The organization serves over 7 million residents in the 351 cities and towns of Massachusetts. Some functions of the Massachusetts Red Cross include:

  • providing emergency food and shelter;
  • operating the largest food pantry in New England;
  • teaches lifesaving skills, training nurses’ aides, and certifying nursing assistants;
  • serving members of the Armed Forces, and more.

All assistance from the Red Cross is free and made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people.

How to volunteer

Volunteers carry out 90% of the humanitarian work of the Red Cross. You can make a significant contribution to your community through one of the many available volunteer opportunities including:

  • Health and Safety Services

How to donate

You can make a difference in your community today with a donation to the Massachusetts Red Cross, with several ways to contribute:

Training & Certification programs

There are numerous training and certification programs offered by the Red Cross, offered both online and in-person. To sign up for a class and learn about some available training options please visit www.redcross.org/take-a-class.
