American Red Cross of Massachusetts

Information on the services provided & how to volunteer with the Massachusetts chapter of the American Red Cross.

The organization serves over 7 million residents in the 351 cities and towns of Massachusetts. Some functions of the Massachusetts Red Cross include:

  • providing emergency food and shelter;
  • operating the largest food pantry in New England;
  • teaches lifesaving skills, training nurses’ aides, and certifying nursing assistants;
  • serving members of the Armed Forces, and more.

All assistance from the Red Cross is free and made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people.

How to volunteer

Volunteers carry out 90% of the humanitarian work of the Red Cross. You can make a significant contribution to your community through one of the many available volunteer opportunities including:
