Auto Body Labor Rate Advisory Board

The Auto Body Labor Rate Advisory Board was created by the Massachusetts Legislature to review auto body labor rates and costs and make recommendations to the Commissioner of the Division of Insurance.

Section 292 of Chapter 238 of the Acts of 2024, the Mass Leads Act, established an auto body labor rate advisory board to conduct a survey on labor rates and make recommendations on a fair and equitable labor rate by December 31, 2025.

All members of the public are invited to attend and give testimony to the Advisory Board at the State House. There will also be a virtual component. 

**IMPORTANT NOTE: State House Room B-1 holds about 50 people. There will be a sign-in sheet for live testimony available beginning at 11:00AM and those attending will be allowed to wait outside in the corridor. In-person testimony will be first, and at the end of live testimony virtual testimony will be allowed, time permitting.

Section 130 of Chapter 24 of the Acts of 2021 previously established the Special Commission on Auto Body Labor Rates.
